Worthing & Area Holiday Reviews

Worthing Pier Worthing

Escape to the south coast and choose one of our hotels in Worthing – ideal for a break by the seaside. Home at one time or another to Jane Austen, Oscar Wilde and Harold Pinter, discover this picturesque and inspirational corner of the country.

Nearby Brighton is home to a host of exciting attractions, fabulous boutique shopping and an infamous nightlife; there is, however plenty to enjoy on a quieter break away from it all in Worthing itself. Gain a gorgeous view of the seafront from Worthing Pier, and enjoy a relaxing break when you choose one of our Worthing hotels.

  • Worthing is an excellent base from which to explore the stunning South Downs National Park – highlights that are close by to the town include Castle Goring and pretty Arundel Castle
  • The largest museum in West Sussex, the Worthing Museum and Art Gallery is Grade-II listed and exhibits a number of impressive works, including one of the finest costume and textile collections in the country
  • Also Grade-II listed Dome Cinema is one of the oldest surviving cinemas in the country – originally opened in 1911, the Edwardian building is something of a pilgrimage site for film-lovers
  • Worthing co-hosts the International Birdman competition – in which participants attempt to fly off of the town’s famous pier – each year in mid-summer; the Worthing Festival also draws big crowds in the summertime, usually taking place in late July
Perfect for a seaside break on the south coast, check out our hotels in Worthing in the list below.

Christmas at Norfolk Arms Arundel

Stay Date: 23/12/16, a customer aged 45-64 from Ingrave who stayed at 3* Norfolk Arms Hotel in Arundel wrote this review.

The hotel was somewhat run down and disappointing - the manager definitely has delusions of grandeur in my opinion. A large part of the problem was caused by his use of untrained agency staff as See More  Read more information waiters who did not appear to have a clue what they were doing which, although not their fault, resulted in very long delays between courses at mealtimes. Christmas Day lunch was a particular fiasco inthat most peoples' dinners were stone cold by the time they eventually received them - think Fawlty Towers without the intended comedy! The manager might do well to visit a properly-run hotel to gainan appreciation of what customer service means and entails before he considers taking £1000+ from guests next Christmas. Despite all of the above (and much more besides!), we had a good laugh over thetime we were at the Norfolk Arms in that we met some nice people in the other guests who joined us in the "Spirit of the Blitz" regarding what was going on around us.   Collapse  Hide
