Fun in Torquay

Stay Date: 04/05/18, a customer aged 25-44 who stayed at 2* The Trecarn Hotel (3 or 4 night Half Board Offer) in Torquay wrote this review.

Great friendly hotel, aimed to please us and were accommodating with requests, strange smell in the bathroom was its only fault but as it's under refurbishment didn't complain. See More  Read more information   Collapse  Hide

Weekend in Torquay

Stay Date: 16/02/18, a customer aged 45-64 who stayed at 4* The Imperial Torquay in Torquay wrote this review.

The Imperial Hotel is beautifully situated overlooking the harbour. Very high standard of accommodation, fantastic food and excellent staff. We had dinner the first night for convenience sake, but See More  Read more information enjoyed it so much we booked again for the following night! We did some walking along the South West Coastal Footpath but there were very few signposts to keep us on the right path and many hadclearly been vandalised so useless for directions. Ended up on a golf course at one point which didn't make us very popular! Good local bus services made it very easy to get around.   Collapse  Hide

Christmas break in Torquay

Stay Date: 23/12/17, a customer aged 65+ from United Kingdom who stayed at 2* The Trecarn Hotel Christmas Break in Torquay wrote this review.

Our room was excellent, except that there were no drawers to put clothes. The buffet was very good but not supervised so that food often was not available until a member of staff could be found to See More  Read more information replenish the buffet. The plate warmer was often empty, on one occasion I filled it myself. The variety of food was good and quality excellent if it was available! The only Wi-Fi available was atreception and that was very poor, not good enough to receive email. Reception staff were not helpful much of the time. We did not bother with the evening entertainment so I cannot comment. On the wholethe hotel was clean and had plenty of public space, the food was good when we could get it, but the hotel needs more staff training and better Wi-Fi.   Collapse  Hide

Torquay bargain break at The Imperial Hotel

Stay Date: 10/02/17, a customer aged 45-64 who stayed at 4* The Imperial Torquay in Torquay wrote this review.

We had a superb room on the third floor, no sea view but 2 large rooms one with a double and the other with 2 single rooms. The bedrooms stunk of fresh paint. We opened up all the windows and went See More  Read more information out to explore Torquay. The hotel charges £7 per night car parking outside or £15 undercover. The set meal in the hotel is £25 for 2 courses we went out for an Indian sit down meal in the town -fantastic. Loads to eat and drink in the town. Came back to the hotel to find that neither TV had a picture! Receptionist tried another room which also had no signal! Said it must be hotel wide and yetnobody else had complained? So all weekend had no TV...also the WiFi signal is very very weak so tethered off my mobile phone! The young lad said to connect to WiFi in reception and then it will be ok inthe room...idiot! Breakfast was superb though. Lovely weekend for a bargain rate of £77 a night for 2 with breakfast...could have been a lot better.   Collapse  Hide
