About The Prince of Egypt

Based on the DreamWorks film of the same name, The Prince of Egypt is set to make its West End debut next year at London’s Dominion Theatre. The brand-new musical arrives in the UK on 5 February 2020, beginning an anticipated 32-week run until 12 September. With music by composer Stephen Schwartz (best known for the hit musical Wicked), enjoy 10 new songs as well as the award-winning masterpiece ‘When You Believe’.

The Story

Set in Ancient Egypt, the musical tells the biblical story of Moses and his brother Rameses – the new Pharaoh of Egypt. When Prince Moses discovers his roots as a Jewish slave, he defies Rameses and leads an uprising to free his people. Including the famous tale of Moses parting the Red Sea, what will fate have in store for the brothers?

Celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2018, The Prince of Egypt is one of the most widely praised animation films of all time. The musical adaption premiered in California in 2017, with an international premiere in Denmark the following year.
