Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat Theatre Show Information
About Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor DreamcoatFor a limited time only, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat returns to London’s West End for its first revival since 2007. The multi-award-winning musical, composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, first appeared on the West End in 1973 before moving to Broadway in 1982. In Summer 2019, the family-friendly show graces the stage once again at the London Palladium.
The StoryBased on the ‘coat of many colours’ narrative from the Bible’s Book of Genesis, the musical tells the story of Joseph and his 11 brothers. Sold into slavery and then imprisoned, Joseph discovers he can interpret dreams – leading him to form a friendship with the Pharaoh. With very little dialogue, the story is told completely through song alongside a narrator.
