Cinderella Theatre Show Information

A family-friendly pantomime telling the festive tale of Cinderella and her Fairy Godmother.

About Cinderella

The Lyric Hammersmith welcomes the classic tale of Cinderella to its stage this winter, with a 7-week run from 16th November 2019 to 5th January 2020. Expect the usual fun and laughter pantomimes are known for, with a unique twist added by the theatre’s talented producing team.

The Story

Forced to cook and clean at the hands of her evil stepmother and stepsisters, Cinderella is forbidden to attend the hotly anticipated royal ball. But when her Fairy Godmother magically appears and transforms her into a princess, Cinderella not only captures the attention of the ball, but Prince Charming himself. When the spell wears off at midnight, will a glass slipper help the Prince find his way to Cinderella?

History of Cinderella

The story of Cinderella is known the world over and has been a firm family favourite with panto-goers for over a hundred years. Famous for its slapstick humour and risqué gags, Cinderella’s ugly stepsisters are traditionally played by men – much to the amusement of a giggling audience.
