Buddy tells the true story of Buddy Holly through his spectacular career. The show features classic songs like ‘That’ll be the Day’, ‘Peggy Sue’ ‘Oh Boy’ ‘Everyday’ and ‘La Bamba’. Now in its 29th incredible year, you can look forward to a rocking good night that’ll have you on your feet the whole time.

The Story

The show follows the bespectacled kid from Lubbock, Texas and his meteoric rise to fame. It accounts the moment in 1957 when ‘That’ll be the day’ first hit the airwaves until his tragic death less than 2 years later which is now known as ‘The Day the Music Died’. The show features over 20 of Buddy Holly’s iconic hits from the golden age of Rock & Roll. Whether you’re 18 or 80, this show’ll have you toe-tapping and

Seen by over 22 million people worldwide, there’s no doubt that Buddy is one of the most successful Rock & Roll musicals in the world. Now in its 30th year, the show has come a long way from the technical glitches of its first run in 1989 at the Theatre Royal, Plymouth.
