About Aladdin

Disney’s Aladdin is everything you could wish for and more, and is dazzling audiences daily at the beautiful Prince Edward Theatre, in the heart of London’s West End. The classic hit film has been brought to life on stage by the producer of The Lion King. The lead roles of Aladdin and Jasmine will be taken by rising British stars Dean John-Wilson and Jade Ewen. Breath-taking sets, astonishing special effects, over 350 lavish costumes - sparkling with over two million Swarovski® crystals - and a fabulous cast and orchestra bring the magic of Disney’s Aladdin to life on stage. The show has won a Tony Award and a Drama Desk Award, alongside a further 4 Tony nominations, 6 Drama Desk Award nominations and a Grammy Award nomination.

The Story

Aladdin tells the story of a poor street boy with a magical lamp housing a genie who can grant him 3 wishes. Aladdin uses the genie to turn him into the handsome Prince Ali, so that he can pursue the girl of his dreams, the beautiful Princess Jasmine. But will Jasmine still love Aladdin when she finds out his true identity?

History of Aladdin

Aladdin the musical is based on the classic 1994 Disney animated film, featuring all the songs from the Academy Award-winning score, together with new music written for this production. The musical adaptation first opened in Seattle in 2011, before graduating to Broadway and hitting London’s West End in June 2016. Featuring all the songs from the classic Academy Award®-winning film, including ‘Friend Like Me’, ‘A Whole New World’ and ‘Arabian Nights’, prepare to experience the unmissable theatrical magic that is Aladdin.
