St Saviour Church

Our hotels in St Saviour are conveniently placed inland of Jersey’s capital, St Helier and provide an excellent base for visiting the surrounding sandy beaches, wonderful countryside, ancient monuments and many other attractions on this sunny island.

From discovering the birth and burial place of Lillie Langtry to taking a stroll through the picturesque Howard Davis Park, St Saviour has so much to see and do on a short break.

  • St Helier is just a short journey away and has an abundance of attractions to visit from the 16th century Elizabeth Castle to the spectacular sandy shores perfect for a relaxing day at the beach.
  • St Saviour has its own coastline called Le Dicq – famed for being the shortest shoreline on the Island, it’s also home to the Rocher des Proscrits rock where political refugees once met to debate world affairs.
  • A trip to La Hougue Bie whilst on a break in St Saviour is a must! Here you can discover what life in Jersey was like more than 6,000 years ago.

Excellent Jersey Hotel

Stay Date: 16/05/17, a customer aged 45-64 from Wrexham who stayed at 3* Merton Hotel in St Saviour (Jersey) wrote this review.

Very impressed by this hotel, everything was good: the ambience, the staff and the facilities were all great. We stayed in a very nice room - the only slight downside was that the room overlooked a See More  Read more information busy road, so if we had the windows open, there was quite a bit of traffic noise. The best part of this hotel has to be the food! We have never had such an extensive choice for breakfast, and it wasall good! We had dinner there one night and it was outstanding, both choice and quality.   Collapse  Hide

A few days in Jersey

Stay Date: 08/08/16, a customer aged 65+ from Lincs who stayed at 2* Talana Hotel in St Saviour (Jersey) wrote this review.

This was our first break to Jersey where we stayed at the Talana Hotel in St Saviour and we must say the hotel was very clean with staff that were always on hand and very friendly. The food when we See More  Read more information ate in the hotel was excellent and even though there was only a couple of choices for starter, main and dessert which was different each day the quality and presentation of it was very good. If therewas a criticism there was only one thing that could have been better which was that there was no food served in the evening after 8pm and if you went out for the day and got back after then you had tolook for food outside of the hotel.   Collapse  Hide

Jersey

Stay Date: 11/05/14, a customer aged 45-64 who stayed at 3* Merton Hotel in St Saviour (Jersey) wrote this review.

Beautiful Island and in my view the best hotel on the island by far is The Merton Hotel in St. Saviour. The rooms are spacious, extremely comfortable and immaculately clean. The staff are amazing See More  Read more information and as for the food, you would be hard pressed to beat it! Breakfast and evening meals are buffet style in the Belvedere restaurant at the hotel with an incredible range of courses to choose from. Everyevening there is a different theme e.g. meditteranean, chinese, indian, mexican etc. but there is always a carvery roast on offer too as an additional option plus food catering specifically forchildren. There are two other restaurants at the hotel too, Bonettis (Italian) and Jersey Joes (American Diner). The Merton Hotel Aquadome is just across the road from the hotel and again is superb, a suntrap and entry is free to Hotel residents! Plenty of sunbeds available, jacuzis, steam rooms, saunas, flumes, 'the rapids' and an excellently run cafe. The pool can be accessed from both inside andout, flowing through an archway taking you from one to the other. I have stayed at the hotel twice now and plan to return as soon as possible. Superb! St. Helier is a 5-10 minute walk from the hoteland the bus service is first rate, taking you anywhere on the island for a maximum of ?1.80.   Collapse  Hide

Excellent break in Jersey

Stay Date: 11/05/14, a customer aged 45-64 who stayed at 3* Merton Hotel in St Saviour (Jersey) wrote this review.

We stayed at the Merton Hotel with 3 friends, our room was very clean with plenty of storage and a very comfortable bed. Breakfast and evening meal in the Belvedere Restuarant can't be faulted See More  Read more information plenty of choice and very tasty. The facilities In Aquadrome are superb spent 2 days in the outdoor pool once the weather warmed up. The staff at the hotel are polite, curteous and can't do enough for you.The location of the hotel is just a short walk through the beautiful Howard Davis Park to the main shopping area on the Island most streets of which are now pedestrianised with plenty of places tostop and sit down, many bistros caf?s etc to get a coffee and something to eat most with outside seating areas where they have smoking areas which is obviously a plus for the smokers. Royal Square is anabsolute must for a 10 minute sit down. Recommend either taking your car or hiring one as there are so many places and attractions to visit which are off the beaten track. Jersey and the Merton Hoteloffer everything you need for an excellent holiday.   Collapse  Hide
