De Vere Gorse Hill

Stay Date: 26/10/12, a customer aged 45-64 from York who stayed at 3* Gorse Hill in Woking wrote this review.

Nice location. Facilities a little tired - hotel needs some redecoration - rooms/bathrooms would benefit from an update. If an update is not due then the bathrooms would benefit from having things See More  Read more information such as the silicone sealant replacing. Towels are quite thin and scratchy. The first room allocated to use, although classed as a double was really a single with a double bed, only had one bedsidecabinet, one glass (plastic) in bathroom, one glass and i mug on drinks tray. Due to various reasons the manager moved us to a different room - this was a real double for two people!   Collapse  Hide

First Holiday With our Puppy

Stay Date: 06/10/12, a customer aged 25-44 from Northampton who stayed at 2* The Roundhouse Hotel (2 Night Half Board Offer) in Bournemouth wrote this review.

Hotel was suitable for our puppy. Food was good. Bar/ restaurant staff were very helpful and pleasant. The shower in our room didn't work very well. Due to it being a weekend when we reported it and See More  Read more information no maintenance staff being on site we got given a room to use another shower after asking for the shower to be sorted a couple of times. Managers all seemed ok. Parking good. Location good. Only afew minutes walk to local shops, pier and beach. It's a shame it felt like it took a while to sort the shower scenario out, as otherwise our trip would of been good.   Collapse  Hide

Good Weekend in Bournemouth

Stay Date: 21/09/12, a customer aged 45-64 from Sennen Cove who stayed at 3* Britannia Bournemouth Hotel (2 Night Half Board Offer) in Bournemouth wrote this review.

For a budget break this was very good. The rooms were adequate and clean and the food was basic and straightforward but good. All could have been very good indeed with a just a bit more thought and See More  Read more information care. The hotel could do with being redecorated in places but it did not detract from our enjoyment. The entertainment was a bonus. We did think that to charge extra for the parking and the use ofswimming pool was poor and think that Britannia should rethink their policy on that. The parking can be a real a problem when the hotel is full. Don't expect luxury but a good bargain break.   Collapse  Hide
