A great break in the Peak District

Stay Date: 02/01/07, a customer from Tadworth from Surreywho stayed at this hotel wrote this review.

Shrigley Hall provided us with a superb base, a lovely building in a beautiful location for a couple of dayswalking in the Peak District, returning in the evenings to enjoy a swim and a sauna before See More  Read more information dinner. The excellent dinners which were included in the price of the break provided were all we needed to enjoy the evenings without a need to go out. We have no other input to provide with regardsto this short break as Shrigley Hall provided us with all we needed. Fortunately we had sufficient information about walks in the area but were surprised to find that there was no information aboutwalks available at the hotel when the Peak District offers so much good walking country.   Collapse  Hide

Shrigley Hall Hotel

Stay Date: 12/05/17, a customer aged 45-64 from United Kingdom who stayed at this hotel wrote this review.

Hotel building and surroundings were lovely. Room was a bit on the small side considering the number of stars. Breakfast was good and evening meal ok - some courses were very good, others average. See More  Read more information It was a good base to explore the area surroundings - from caves and caverns at Castleton to Bakewell and Buxton. Apart from one staff member who was a bit flustered, all the others were helpful andcheerful. Would I stay here again - yes.   Collapse  Hide

Enjoyable stay at the Shrigley Hall hotel. Wife was worried after reading TripAdvisor but the only problem was slowness of service at dinner and they did run out of water jugs on the second night. Rainy Break in Pott Shrigley!!

Stay Date: 02/11/13, a customer aged 45-64 from Manchester who stayed at this hotel wrote this review.

It was a last minute booking just wanted a few days break in England despite the rain! The Hotel was fine - excellent breakfast but dining in the restaurant on our first evening was a huge mistake I See More  Read more information am being extremely kind when I described the meal as 'a little bit of nothing on a big white plate' certainly NOT value for money and we did not dine there the next night. That said it was a good 3days of total relaxation loved the pool area and sauna.....and managed to walk the grounds and dodge the rain! Would I go to the hotel again......possibly. On our arrival it was obvious that thebooking through your website the previous evening had not arrived (thank goodness I took with me the confirmation e-mail I received from you)....was very nervous because the hotel was hosting a weddingand it seemed an age before the receptionist found us a room.....which was fine but a little 'tired looking'. Would I book again with Superbreak....yes.   Collapse  Hide
