We did not use the leisure facilities this time but have used them before and they are very good. Staff are immaculately turned out and are thoroughly pleasant andhelpful. Breakfast is first class with plenty of choice and the carvery buffet is superb value and again lots of choice. Location is good especially if you want to go to the zoo as it is right nextdoor. If you want to leave your car in the ample car park public transport is right outside the hotel door and provides an excellent service. Overall an excellent weekend   Collapse  Hide

Great 3 Days in Edinburgh

Stay Date: 25/02/14, a customer aged 25-44 who stayed at 4* Holiday Inn Edinburgh (2 Night Offer & 1st Night Dinner) in Edinburgh wrote this review.

The Holiday Inn was perfect for us location next door to the Zoo which was great as we could park for free in the Hotel and walk next door also as we were Holiday Inn we got entry after 2pm half See More  Read more information price. There is a bus stop right outside which allows you buses anywhere for a £3.50 all day ticket. Also across the road is a nice Chinese Restaurant called the Green Jade. Inside the Hotel I feel therooms were a bit dated however the restaurant downstairs and bar were fantastic with the choice of 2 restaurants, a Chinese and mixed with choices from Lasagne to Steaks to Burgers to Hot Dogs.Reasonable price especially as we were on a first night Dinner Free option allowing up to £18 per person. The leisure facilities were great, a gym with various cardio machines, swimming pool, jaccuzi, saunaall free and for a little extra spa treatments. All in all it was a great base for our wee break and YES I would go again and recommend it for location, facilities, my only negative is the room decorand the lack of free wi-fi.   Collapse  Hide

Great Edinburgh Weekend

Stay Date: 28/02/14, a customer aged 65+ who stayed at 4* Holyrood Aparthotel in Edinburgh wrote this review.

The Holyrood Aparthotel was very convenient for the Royal Mile and the City Centre. We had two double rooms at a very reasonable price, with joint lounge with all conveniences of TV, Hi-Fi and See More  Read more information adjoining kitchen with fridge and microwave. The breakfast provision in the kitchen was extensive - cereals, bread, butter, cream cheese, jam, marmalade, milk, tea, coffee, etc - spot on! Instantheating in the rooms and plentiful hot water in bath and shower were very welcome in cold February and the beds were snug and warm. The only minor complaint would be at the 8.00am bottle avalanche (X 3)from the adjoining hotel/cafe. Staff were very helpful and the room was beautifully serviced. We had no desire to use the hotel gym facilities, but these were available to us. We willdefinitely return to the Holyrood Aparthotel, plus rail travel, via Superbreak- terrific!   Collapse  Hide
