Glasgow City Break

Stay Date: 07/03/14, a customer aged 45-64 who stayed at 4* Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow wrote this review.

The big plus with the Grand Central Hotel is that it is so central - there's even an entrance within Central Station. The Champagne Bar and main staircase feature chandeliers which bring back a See More  Read more information touch of the opulence of the 1920s and 30s and this hotel in its heyday. Completely refurbished in the last few years to a high standard, it is a comfortable place to stay with an old-fashioned approachto customer service. As it is central, it is a busy area, but we didn't find this to be a problem (good secondary glazing). Breakfast is self-service with a good choice. As in many large hotels, onlythe tea and coffee at breakfast lets it down (it is served by the cup from flasks - individual pots would be better).   Collapse  Hide

Mercure Inverness

Hotel was lovely and very clean and friendly. Parking was a nightmare as some of the streets were closed off due to the flood prevention work being undertaken - not the hotels fault. Fantastic 3 nights in Edinburgh

Stay Date: 04/03/14, a customer aged 25-44 who stayed at 3* Stay Central in Edinburgh wrote this review.

Our hotel was just amazing, it's called the Stay Central for a reason as it is located right in the heart of Edinburgh and is just round the corner from the south bridge vaults and grass markets, we See More  Read more information walked pretty much everywhere with ease. The staff were so helpful and friendly, they even put a birthday card with some chocolates in my room for me on behalf of all the staff. The room was so wellequipped with all the mod cons... flat screen tv, safe, ipod docking, beautiful bathroom with a heated mirror so it didn't fog up. Breakfast was nice and filling (haggis is awesome), lift to allfloors. They offer all kinds of little things like bike hire or even roller blades, there's a early morning jogging club if you have the energy for it or box sets for stag and hen parties (include thingslike hair straighteners for girls and xbox etc for boys). The bar has lovely vaulted ceilings in brickwork and overall is just such a nice place whether you are looking for a romantic break or groupgetaway. I highly recommend this hotel!   Collapse  Hide

Fantastic Break at New Lanark

Stay Date: 10/03/14, a customer aged 45-64 from Laurencekirk who stayed at 4* New Lanark Mill Hotel in New Lanark wrote this review.

New Lanark Mill Hotel was of a high standard, our room was spacious and very clean, the view from the window on to the Clyde was outstanding. The visit to the Mill was entertaining and enjoyable as See More  Read more information well educational and great priced tickets. Although New Lanark is quite self contained the hotel prices are very reasonable and we never felt ripped off as we have at other resort hotels. The walkaround the Falls of Clyde is scenic and you never know quite what you will see in the wildlife department. All in all a great place to spend a few days.   Collapse  Hide
