Great city to visit

Stay Date: 28/02/17, a customer aged 25-44 from United Kingdom who stayed at 3* Old Waverley Hotel in Edinburgh wrote this review.

Headed up to Edinburgh to sample the city. Which is what we did. We stayed in the old Waverley Hotel. The best thing about the hotel was the location. It could not be better. The staff are really See More  Read more information friendly and helpful. The hotel room was big and the beds were comfortable the only downside was we did not have a view from the window, which would have made it 10 times better. The room had everythingyou could wish for. Ensure you head up to the castle as the views are amazing. Best way to get around to see the city is to use the hop on hop off bus which takes you to different areas of the citywhilst explaining about the history. We will definitely be going back to Edinburgh.   Collapse  Hide

Edinburgh mini-break

Stay Date: 27/02/17, a customer aged 45-64 who stayed at 4* Crowne Plaza Edinburgh - Royal Terrace (2 Nt Offer & 1st Nt Dinner) in Edinburgh wrote this review.

Great hotel with fantastic service from all staff, from the concierge to restaurant, front desk & housekeeping. Comfortable room with great view overlooking the Firth of Forth. Clean & well kept. See More  Read more information Had a wonderful evening meal in the restaurant on our first evening, included in the cost of the break. Great choice of food at breakfast. Several restaurants nearby serving a variety of differentcuisines including Indian & Turkish. Close to Edinburgh Playhouse Theatre & to main attractions in the city centre - all within walking distance. NB. It is very hilly! Unfortunately did not have time touse the swimming pool, steam room or gym in the hotel. Will definitely go back & stay at the hotel again in the future as there is so much to see.   Collapse  Hide

Not as expected

Stay Date: 21/02/17, a customer aged 25-44 from United Kingdom who stayed at 4* Holiday Inn Edinburgh (2 Night Offer & 1st Night Dinner) in Edinburgh wrote this review.

Pool closed on one day due to power failure which upset kids. Might as well saved money and booked a basic hotel. Unfriendly members in pool who thought they had priority over hotel guests. Being See More  Read more information told not to use one side of breakfast buffet due to it being for group (same group that were using both sides). Expecting my 11 and 12 year old to eat from a basic and boring menu to suit a 4 year old.Public transport links good. Free parking. Overall we were disappointed about hotel.   Collapse  Hide

Pitlochry and Fishers Hotel

Stay Date: 20/02/17, a customer aged 65+ who stayed at 3* Fishers Hotel in Pitlochry wrote this review.

Pitlochry is a lovely town with a number of great walks. There are also plenty of places to visit such as the new visitor centre by the hydro dam. In the hotel, there was a lot of building work See More  Read more information going on because of a recent fire in the ballroom. The hotel overall is "ok" but some of the rooms look tired. The restaurant is smart but there was a lack of knowledge about special diets.   Collapse  Hide

Great location.

Stay Date: 22/02/17, a customer aged 45-64 who stayed at 3* Rennie Mackintosh Station Hotel in Glasgow wrote this review.

This hotel is in a great location if you are arriving by train into Glasgow Central Station and is very centrally located. We arrived at 10.30am and were able to leave our bags, we also left them on See More  Read more information departure day and collected them on the way to the station. Reception, lounge and dining room areas are tastefully decorated. Breakfast was good value, with plenty of choice. Our bedroom wasextremely disappointing, it was very dated, awful lumpy mattresses, chipped furniture, threadbare carpet in places. Bathroom wasn't much better, shower cubicle had seen much better days. Not sure if wewould stay here again.   Collapse  Hide
