Great Days Out in Edinburgh

Stay Date: 21/10/06, a customer from Coventry who stayed at 3* Mercure Livingston in Edinburgh/Livingston wrote this review.

Shopping in Princes Street Excellent. We paid £12.00 per adult to have a ticket for 24 hours for tour buses. This enabled us to catch all four buses which go to different attractions throughout See More  Read more information Edinburgh. You visit all main attractions and it is hop on and hop off. Absolutely excellent for seeing everything in short space of time and extremely economical. Highly recommended. Avoid Royal YachtBritannia - overpriced and not very interesting.   Collapse  Hide

A Super Break in Inverness!

Stay Date: 21/11/06, a customer from Manchester who stayed at 4* Columba Hotel Inverness by Compass Hospitality in Inverness wrote this review.

We go every year for a short romantic break in Inverness. We stay in the Columba Hotel. The Columba Hotel is conveniently situated on the banks of the River Ness, within easy walking distance of the See More  Read more information theatre, shops and other amenities. As capital of the Highlands, Inverness is an excellent base for exploring the area, with Culloden Battlefield, Spey Valley and the Whisky Trail nearby. Over thebridge from the hotel is Inverness Town Centre with lots of shops, restaurants and bars. There are lots of places to visit, you can drive along the Loch Ness, visit the Loch Ness Visitors Centre &Exhibition and also there is a castle nearby called Urquhart Castle. Its is what is left of the castle ruins. It is a brilliant place to visit and I think it is about £6.50. You can take as long as youwant to look around it. First you see a short film about the castle in a mini theatre and then you are left to go around the castle. We love it!   Collapse  Hide
