This morning it's time to head to Harrogate, which takes 35 minutes by train. Harrogate is a spa town in North Yorkshire and is located just east of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. It’s a picturesque place to spend a few hours exploring the peaceful Valley Gardens or relaxing in the Moorish-style Turkish Baths. After your visit to Harrogate, you can take the short, 10-minute journey to the charming market town of Knaresborough and visit Knaresborough Castle and England’s oldest attraction, Mother Shipton’s Cave.Read more

Today you could venture to the Yorkshire coast for a visit to the Victorian seaside town of Scarborough – just 50 minutes away by train. It’s not just about the beach in Scarborough either, you could take a trip to visit Scarborough Castle or enjoy a leisurely stroll around Peasholm Park, but be sure to enjoy the seaside staple of fish and chips when walking along the sea front - it's a must!Hide

The Northern England Explorer allows you to travel between Leeds and many destinations in Northern England including York, Harrogate, Knaresborough, Scarborough, Sheffield, Darlington, Durham, Newcastle, Settle - Carlisle Railway and Hull.

Time Restrictions: Rail tickets are available for travel on trains timed to depart after 09:00am Mondays to Fridays and at any time on weekends and bank holidays.
Using your ticket: Tickets are valid for 4 days within a 8 day period. When a passenger needs to validate a ticket, the date of travel should be completed in black ink using numerical values only for 'Day' and 'Month' e.g. 07 09 for travel from 7th September. The ticket will need validating before the first journey of the first day of travel.
