Superbreak Expands 2007 Programme... 02 November 2006
... with 212 new properties as it anticipates further growth in European cities!
New destinations such as New Orleans, Johannesburg and Bucharest plus 212 new hotels are featured within the new 2007, first edition ‘Hotels in European Cities and Beyond’ brochure from Superbreak. The additions come as bookings continue to increase with sales through agents in the month of October up 7% year on year with over 10,000 customers booked. The operator has set a target of over 100,000 customers through agents in 2007.
Now offering over 1177 hotels of which 212 are new (a growth of 22%), the programme will feature eight additional pages much of which is new long haul product. New areas include the US cities of New Orleans and Philadelphia, Alberta, Quebec, Vancouver and the Canadian Rockies in Canada and in Europe new cities include Poitiers, Mons, Weimar, Bucharest and Poznan.
South Africa has seen good expansion with the addition of Johannesburg, the Garden Route, the Wine Region and a safari option. For customers wanting to book accommodation only along the Garden Route, the operator has introduced Port Elizabeth, Knysna, Plettenberg and Hermanus. Prices lead in at £30.75pppn on a b/b basis at the Paxton Hotel in Port Elizabeth. Along the Wine Route Stellenbosch and Franschoek are now featured with prices leading in at £28.25pppn at the Stellenbosch Hotel on a b/b basis. For the first time, Superbreak is offering agents the opportunity to book safari accommodation – for example a stay at the Mabula Game Lodge, just a couple of hours drive from Johannesburg costs from £109 per person including full board and two game drives.
Superbreak has also begun a new collaboration with Fairmont Hotels and Resorts. Seven hotels are brochured with three more available on www.superbreak.com/agents. These include the Fairmont Dubai which costs from £87pppn on a b/b basis and the Fairmont Banff Springs which costs from £65pppn on a room only basis.
Further increasing the product range available to agents, a seven night Nile Cruise is now available which departs from Luxor. Prices for the cruise start from £332.50pp, per week on a full board basis.
The brochure continues to offer a wide range of hotels in all the key cities both in Europe and further afield. For example, Rome has grown from 66 to 76 (up 15%) and the Far and Away section from 31 to 56 (up 81%). Due to the launch of flights to Marrakesh by EasyJet, Thomson Fly and Ryanair, the number of properties in the city has grown from three to nine with prices leading in at the Ryad Mogador hotel from £17pppn on a b/b basis.

Dublin – The well known three star Academy Plaza in Dublin joins the programme – ideal for both groups and individuals. Priced from £41.50pppn on a b/b basis.
Luxor – The St Joseph Hotel in Luxor, located just steps from the River Nile is a great value two star hotel that is new. Priced from just £5.75pppn on a b/b basis.
Add-Ons – Excursion can now be booked to the Sea Life Centres in Paris, Munich and Berlin and the Dungeon in Amsterdam and Hamburg.
450,000 brochures are being printed for agent distribution and will be with agents from 10 November onwards. The brochure covers stays up to 31 October 2007.
