Superbreak has packages available now for highest-grossing show in Broadway history
On 27th September, Wicked, Stephen Schwartz’s Tony award-winning prequel to The Wizard of Oz opens at the Apollo Victoria – and is set to take London by storm! The spectacular hit Broadway musical tells the untold story of the legendary witches from L. Frank Baum’s classic.
Set in the Emerald City before the arrival of Dorothy and Toto, Wicked brings to life the tale of how a misunderstood, green girl named Elphaba become ‘wicked’ but her unlikely friend, Glinda, became ‘good’. The show transports audiences to a fantasy land of wizardry, witchcraft, sorcery and spells, with Grammy award-winning music, Tony award-winning sets and costumes, and stunning special effects.
British audiences will be delighted with the casting of Miriam Margolyes (Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Romeo + Juliet, Blackadder I, II and III) as Madame Morrible and Nigel Planer (The Young Ones, The Grimleys, Evita) as the Wizard.
The New York production which opened at the Gershwin Theatre in October 2003 has been seen by 1.75 million people, so make sure you’re one of the first to experience the British version through one of the following packages now available from Superbreak:
