Short Break in London

Stay Date: 05/07/06, a customer who stayed at 2* Hallam Hotel in Oxford Circus wrote this review.

Main purpose was to see Sinatra at the Palladium. Very good live show although obviously Sinatra is not ! Very well put together show providing, of course, you are a Sinatra fan ! Before returning See More  Read more information home next day, took the Original Sightseeing Bus Tour combined with 45 minute Thames Cruise. Traffic was congested in places, but cruise was excellent. Return journey only marred by one hour traindelay ! No change there then !   Collapse  Hide

Short Break in London

Stay Date: 16/06/06, a customer from East Sussex who stayed at 4* Radisson Blu Edwardian, Grafton in Tottenham Court Road wrote this review.

One major complaint is the hotel. I would not reccomend the Radisson Edwardian Grafton Hotel to anyone. It was dirty, small, dingy, no natural light, and the food was dreadful. One of my highlights See More  Read more information of the holiday was seeing We Will Rock You. Superb. Music was amazing, the storyline enlightening, and the presentation of the theatre from the outside was magical. Seeing Trooping of the Guard atthis weekend, was a fantastic and surreal experience. We were hoping to see some celebrities around London, but seeing the Queen and the Royal Family, words cannot express the magic ness of it all!   Collapse  Hide

Get a day travel card. It works out cheaper and it is a lot less time consuming as you do not have to queue for tickets Fabulous bar with lovely beer and homemade sausages at lunchtime. Very old pub See More  Read more information called The Harp, Chandos Place, in Covent Garden - excellent staff and lively atmosphere. Great after shopping. Love Charles Dickins so his house and the Old Curiosity shop were lovely to go andvisit. Lincolns Inn is a very pleasant area and so is neighbouring Fleet Street - both next to the shop.   Collapse  Hide

Firstly we were disappointed with the room in the hotel, it was barely big enough for two let alone the 3 we paid for. And very noisy. Billy Elliot was fantastic and the seats booked through you See More  Read more information were very good. £3.50 for the bus to travel all day was a great deal and we saw lots from going round   Collapse  Hide
