I stay at this hotel because it is within walking distance of the Reebok, this was my third visit. However on this and the previoous occassion I have had cause to sort out a problem. They don't seem to have a proper system for dealing with people staying on an inclusive DBB rate.The staff are always helpful when you ask but I need to know things like if there is a set menu for DBB before Iorder. Nor do I want to have to keep explaining when I check out that I don't owe them some vast amount of money for meals and so on! I have filled in a hotel comments form but am thinking about going elsewhere next time I go to a match.

The hotel was in a really convenient location - about 5 mins walk from the centre of Chester - so close to everything but far enough out as to not suffer from rowdy passers-by in the evening.

We had a throughly good weekend, sorry can't remember the names of the cafes we visited but they where all very good On Saturday we visited Chester, the next day we went to a local market, then onto Colwyn Bay and the welsh Mountain Zoo and finished the day off by visiting Llandudno On Monday our final day we visited Cheshire Oaks Outlet Centre which has something for everyone and travelled home

The room where we stayed had scaffold all round so we couldnt see the seaview due to the scaffold. The builders started work at 7.30am until about 6.00pm so we were woke every morning with the banging from the builders We found the reception staff very unhelpful even having to ask where our rooms where as they just handed us the key. Later on we had to ask where the restaurants were located asnoone informed us. Couldnt use the conservatory as this was closed due to building If we had been informed that major reconstruction work was being carreid out at this hotel before booking therewould have been no way would we have booked our break at this hotel we were very disappointed.

Just two minor comments. No trouser press in room. No marmalade at breakfast. Otherwise hotel was perfect in every way.
