Reims is the capital of champagne production. Steeped in history, the kings of France were once crowned at the Cathedral of Reims. The Place Drouet d'Erlon with attractive statues and fountains in the city centre is now packed with lively restaurants and bars.
Strasbourg is the headquarters of the European Parliament and the European Court of Human Rights. It is rich in historic monuments and architecture and possesses a magnificent cathedral. The world famous Christmas market takes place throughout December.
