Whitney Houston waxwork visits London
Date Posted: 21/11/13
A gospel choir was recently on hand to welcome a Whitney Houston waxwork to the brilliant Madame Tussauds in London.
The 30 singers lent their talents to an event welcoming the sculpture, which came from the New York branch of the waxwork attraction.
It's inspired by Whitney's I Look To You album, and is one of four Madame Tussauds figures of Houston that were made to mark her career and life and revealed to the world in New York this year.
The waxwork is set to stay in London until mid-December, after which it will head back to New York.
"Whitney Houston is one of the most talented singers of her - or any - generation and we were delighted to help welcome her wax figure to London," commented London Gospel Factory Choir artistic director, Colin Vassell.
"She is a personal hero of mine so to get to stand alongside her and sing was a slightly surreal but awesome experience."
London hotels can be great spots to stay if you want to check out Madame Tussauds - as well as the other great London attractions, like the British Museum.
