Undiscovered UK Destinations Feature in New Book
Date Posted: 06/06/14

If you’re planning a short break in the UK and are in need of some inspiration, the new Lonely Planet eBook about Europe’s top undiscovered attractions may provide you with a few ideas.
The publication has named several spots in the UK that are often overlooked by travellers, but that are definitely worthy of your time.
Among them is Battle in East Sussex, a spot that is best-known for being the location of the infamous Battle of Hastings all the way back in 1066. However, despite this strong historical connection, few people make the effort to see Battle itself, with the guide highlighting its 11th-century abbey and stunning countryside as two of its biggest draws.
Other locations to make it into the top 50 included Wilton’s Music Hall in east London, the South Cotswolds, the eastern shore of Loch Ness and the Kinmel Arms in Abergele, Conwy, Wales.
A pub in Dublin and the Cromane Peninsula near the Ring of Kerry in Ireland also made it into the list, giving travellers a few more options if they’re looking for unusual breaks close to home.
