Ulster to take on Leinster in all-Irish Heineken Cup Final at Twickenham
Date Posted: 01/05/12
An all-Irish final of the European Club Rugby Heineken Cup is to take place at Twickenham Stadium this month, as Leinster defend their title against Ulster.
Fans making the trip over from Ireland should book London hotels for Saturday, May 19th to see the match, which starts at 17:00 BST.
Leinster go in as favourites following a fantastic season in the RaboDirect Pro12 league, where they head up the table with a lead of six points. However, Ulster still stand a fighting chance following a long and successful battle to Twickenham.
Leinster defeated the French team Clermont Auvergne 19-15 in a semi-final match in Bordeux, while Ulster knocked out Edinburgh 22-19 in Dublin.
The Heineken Cup is a tournament between club teams from six European nations that has taken place since 1995. The French team Toulouse is the most successful team in the cup's history, having won the title four times.
Leinster defeated Northampton Saints 33-22 in last year's final, which marked a huge comeback as the team were 22-6 down at half time.
