Treasures from Budapest 'a pleasure to see'

An art exhibition which is currently taking place at London's Royal Academy has drawn praise from one interested observer.
Theresa Thompson, writing for the Oxford Times, said that Treasures from Budapest: European Masterpieces from Leonardo to Schiele is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see paintings by these artists in the capital city.
Running until Sunday December 12th, those booking city breaks in London will be able to see drawings by the likes of Durer, Altdorfer, Carracci and Tiepolo, with many of the works having not been loaned out before.
"In the opening room alone I was spoilt for choice, struck first, as all visitors will be, by its centrepiece, a tall St Andrew Altarpiece, 1512, from a village church in what is now Slovakia, here to draw attention to the skill of early Hungarian wood carving," said Ms Thompson.
Last month, Alastair Sooke, writing for the Daily Telegraph, said that Treasures from Budapest is a "beautifully-installed" and "very eclectic" exhibition.
