Take That's Progress was the biggest selling album of 2010 in the UK, according to figures from the Official Charts Company.
The group, who welcomed back Robbie Williams this year, sold 1.84 million copies of their latest studio work, beating off competition from Michael Buble, who's Crazy Love shipped 1.23 million.
Lady Gaga was the third top-selling artist, with Rihanna and Plan B making up the top five.
Rihanna also scored two successes in the biggest selling singles of the year, with Love The Way You Lie, featuring Eminem, shifting the most copies.
She also had Only Girl (In the World) in the top five, and will no doubt be performing both of these hits when she plays in front of those booking Belfast hotels for two dates at the Odyssey Arena on Friday September 30th and Saturday October 1st.
Other stars featured in the 2010 singles chart included X Factor winner Matt Cardle, Bruno Mars and Usher, featuring Will I Am.
