Summer run for The Sheffield Mysteries
Date Posted: 14/11/13

A Sheffield-themed play taking its inspiration from the medieval mystery cycles is set to take to the stage in the city come July next year.
The piece, The Sheffield Mysteries, is set to feature 100 performers - from musicians to actors - who are part of Sheffield People's Theatre.
It will have a short summer run from July 15th to July 19th 2014 at the Crucible theatre and has been penned by writer Chris Bush. Tickets are set to be put on general sale at 10am on November 16th. According to organisers, it has "a distinctly Yorkshire flavour".
Daniel Evans is directing the production, with Lucy Hind on board as movement director and Richard Kent as designer.
Sheffield is a splendid short breaks destination, which is also home to several fascinating museums, and if you're looking to do a bit of Christmas shopping, why not try the Meadowhall Shopping Centre for a brilliant range of stores?
