Stars of Comedy to Appear at Hay Festival
Date Posted: 02/04/13
The line-up for this year's Hay Festival, which takes place in the western Welsh region of Powys, has now been announced, with a host of high-profile comedians set to join some of the world's most accomplished authors and politicians at the event.
Running from May 23rd to June 2nd, the event is sure to pull in huge crowds from across the UK and beyond, and often makes a popular day trip for people staying in Cardiff hotels.
Among the stars appearing at the festival are comedians such as Alan Davies, Lee Mack and Miranda Hart, while spy novelist John le Carre and UN weapons inspector Hans Blix will also be present to give talks.
British literary legends will also feature strongly at the festival, with events planned to commemorate the centenary of the birth of Welsh poet RS Thomas as well as the bicentenary of Jane Austen.
Alan Davies, who regularly stars on the popular TV show QI, will perform his first stand-up show for a decade at the Hay Festival.
