Sophie Okendo is returning to the London stage later this year when she appears in Haunted Child.
The production opens at the Royal Court on Thursday December 8th, with those booking theatre breaks able to see previews from Friday December 2nd.
Okendo has previously been nominated for a BAFTA award for her portrayal of Winnie Mandela in the TV film Mrs Mandela, while she has also starred in stage shows Night Songs and I Just Dropped By to See the Man.
She will be joined in the production by Ben Daniels, whose stage credits include Luise Miller, Three Sisters and The God of Hell.
Haunted Child, written by Joe Penhall, tells the story of a small boy who is being haunted by phantom noises from his absent father and looks at the consequences of the things that people believe in.
Next month, Debbie Tucker Green's Truth and Reconciliation runs at the Royal Court between Thursday September 1st and Saturday September 24th.
