Scotland agree Brazil friendly in London
Date Posted: 16/02/11
Scotland will play a glamorous friendly match against Brazil in London next month.
Craig Levein's side will take on the five-time World Cup winners at Arsenal's Emirates Stadium on Sunday March 27th in front of those on city breaks.
The former Hearts manager said that the game will capture the imagination of not only the Tartan Army but of the squad itself, who will "relish the opportunity" to play against one of the best sides on the planet.
"I believe the recent performances - and not simply the results - against the Faroe Islands and Northern Ireland have given the whole country a lot of encouragement for the second half of the Euro 2012 qualification campaign and beyond," he added.
Despite their aura, Brazil are not the formidable side of the late 90s and early 00s and have lost their last two friendly matches 1-0 to Argentina and France.
Scotland will play Wales and then the Republic of Ireland in May, following the Brazil match.
