The Saturdays invited to turn on Oxford Street lights
Date Posted: 28/10/11
Girl group The Saturdays will be in the capital on Tuesday November 1st to help switch on festive lights in one of London's most famous streets.
Those considering Christmas breaks will be able to see the Just Can't Get Enough singers outside Marks & Spencer on Oxford Street, where they will perform their new single My Heart Takes Over.
Jace Tyrrell, from New West End Company, representing retailers operating in Bond Street, Oxford Street and Regent Street, said: "London's iconic Oxford Street lights will capture the imagination of the tens of millions of visitors over the Christmas period to the West End, including international shoppers coming from as far as China, Russia, Japan, Brazil and Thailand for a quintessentially British Christmas."
She added that the West End will be the ideal place to come for Christmas shopping when it is all lit up.
Earlier this week it was announced that Justin Bieber will be at Westfield Shopping Centres in Shepherd's Bush and Stratford City on Monday November 7th to help switch on their Christmas lights.
