Rowan Atkinson returns to stage in Quatermaine’s Terms
Date Posted: 10/09/12
Rowan Atkinson is set to return in Simon Gray’s 1960s play, Quartermaine's Terms, early next year, after a 25-year break from performing on stage.
Fans of the Mr Bean star should book theatre breaks in London between Wednesday, January 23rd and Saturday, April 13th to catch the show at the Wyndham Theatre.
Quartermaine’s Terms is a tragicomedy that tells the story of a lovely yet hopeless teacher named St John Quartermaine, who is played by Atkinson. His future, however, becomes uncertain when a new head teacher is appointed.
Joining Atkinson in the cast is Conleth Hill, Will Keen, Felicity Montagu and Malcolm Sinclair.
Hill has appeared in numerous theatre productions, including The Cherry Orchard but will be most widely known at the moment for his role as Lord Varys in the HBO series Game of Thrones.
Keen has been a regular on stage at the Almeida Theatre in Tom and Vic and Five Gold Rings, while Montagu is best known for appearing in television on I’m Alan Partridge and Nighty Night.
Sinclair, meanwhile, is famous for his appearance in the BBC series Pie in the Sky and the Olivier Award winning role in Privates on Parade.
