Ross Noble to bring the laughs to York
Date Posted: 23/09/14
Popular funnyman Ross Noble will bring his unique brand of off the cuff and improvised comedy to the York Barbican in October.
The surrealist Newcastle-born entertainer will perform two nights in the venue from October 16th to 17th. Expect plenty of belly laughs, bizarre thoughts and downright wacky ramblings from the television and radio star.
You might recognise him from his appearances on some of Britain’s most loved comedy panel shows, such as QI, Have I Got News for You and Room 101, while he was also the star of Ross Noble’s Australian Trip on Channel Five. He’s also lent his talents to radio, regularly appearing on BBC Radio 4’s Just a Minute.
In his impressive career he has been nominated for and won countless awards for his Edinburgh Festival performances and other shows across the country. He also has nine DVD releases to his name.
In 2012, Noble made his film debut as the title character in horror comedy Stitches, with the comedian playing a psychopathic clown.
One of the great things about seeing the long-haired comedian live is his ability to improvise his material. It’s unlikely you’ll ever see the same show twice, as he interacts with the audience and often goes off on completely unrelated tangents.
In fact, the latter feature of his stage show is noted in the name of his upcoming tour: Tangentleman.
Of course, with two nights in York, if you booked tickets for both performances, it’s likely you’ll be treated to two completely unique shows.
There’s absolutely no doubt he is one of the most revered comedy talents currently in the UK, so you’d be a fool to miss out on one of his York shows—getting the chance to experience his unique comic mind in action is truly a joy.
Tickets are available for £25, which is money well spent if you’re in need of a good laugh!
