Romeo and Juliet one month away from appearances at The O2
Date Posted: 19/05/11
Ballet fans will be able to see one of the most famous love stories ever told when Romeo and Juliet comes to The O2.
The Royal Ballet will be performing the Kenneth MacMillan directed classic for the first time in a UK arena next month.
Those booking hotels near The O2 arena will be able to see the production on Friday June 17th and Sunday June 19th, with two shows on Saturday June 18th.
Some of the top Royal Ballet performers will be involved with Romeo and Juliet, including Carlos Acosta, Tamara Rojo, Mara Galeazzi, Edward Watson, Alina Cojocaru and Johan Kobborg.
Furthermore, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra will supply the music under the direction of Royal Ballet music director Barry Wordsworth.
The production will make use of The O2's high-tech facilities, with each act being introduced on giant, live-relay screens around the arena.
Currently, the Royal Ballet is performing Ballo Della Regina, which is showing at the Royal Opera House until the end of this month.
