The Roaring Twenties Come to London
Date Posted: 23/04/13
In anticipation of the release of Baz Lurhman's screen adaptation of F Scott Fitzgerald's classic novel The Great Gatsby, one of London's top venues is launching a series of nights under the theme of the roaring twenties.
Anyone staying in London hotels next month may want to pay a visit to the Montagu restaurant at Hyatt Regency London, which will be turning back the clock every evening in May to offer visitors the chance to live like the characters from The Great Gatsby.
As well as serving a special twenties-inspired menu, featuring classic American dishes like New York steak Diane and Manhattan clam chowder, visitors will also be able to enjoy live music from the restaurant's house band the Hot Dog Corn Dogs, who will be performing songs from the era.
Guests are encouraged to dress for the occasion, with flapper dresses set to be all the rage as the twenties come roaring back into fashion with the release of what is one of the most highly anticipated films of the year.
