Q Awards build-up starts with HMV Forum gigs

Jamie Cullum will kick off a number of gigs at the capital's HMV Forum in the run-up to this year's Q Awards.
The performances start on Tuesday October 18th, with those booking London hotels able to see the jazz pianist play through his back catalogue on the opening night.
Pixie Lott will then follow Cullum on to the same stage on the next night, with the Kaiser Chiefs performing on Friday October 21st.
Ed Sheeran will round off the warm-up shows with a gig on Saturday October 22nd.
The shows come ahead of the 2011 Q Awards which take place on Monday October 24th at a secret central London venue.
All four acts could be in with a chance of winning a prize, with gongs given out for Best New Act, Best Track, Breakthrough Artist, Best Live Act and Best Act in the World Today.
Last year, Florence & The Machine picked up two awards, with other winners including Take That and Paulo Nutini.
