Pulitzer Prize-Winning Play to Open in London Next Month
Date Posted: 18/04/13

Theatre enthusiasts planning on visiting London this summer will be pleased to hear that the winner of this year's Pulitzer Prize for drama is set to open in the British capital next month.
Ayad Akhtar's play Disgraced was announced earlier this week as the 2013 recipient of what is arguably the most prestigious accolade in the world for new writing, having been selected by a panel of respected drama critics and playwrights, which included the likes of The Washington Post's Peter Marks and Yale University's Donald Margulies.
After enjoying a successful run at the Lincoln Centre in New York, Disgraced will now be showing at the Bush Theatre in London from May 17th to June 22nd.
Tourists on London theatre breaks will have to act fast if they want to snap up tickets for the show, with the Bush Theatre's artistic director Madani Younis praising the play for its excellent handling of "urgent global concerns".
