Psychedelic rockers Brian Jonestown Massacre coming to Birmingham
Date Posted: 29/04/14
One of the top alternative rock acts of the 90s will be making an appearance at the Birmingham O2 Arena 2 on July 7th, in support of their new album.
Revelations is the 13th studio album from Brian Jonestown Massacre, the Californian rockers who incorporate aspect of folk, blues and shoegaze into their experimental style.
Their name is a portmanteau of The Rolling Stones' founder and guitarist Brian Jones and the infamous mass suicide that took place in Guyana and came to be known as the Jonestown Massacre.
They are also the subject of an award-winning documentary titled Dig!, which charts a tumultuous period in their history and in that of fellow 90s stalwarts The Dandy Warhols.
Having been at the music game since 1988, the Brian Jonestown Massacre have built up quite a collection of hit songs and fans will no doubt be looking forward to classics such as Panic in Babylon and Nevertheless.
July 7th is a Monday, so why not head to Birmingham a couple of days and make a weekend break out of it?
