Posh and Jumpy to move to West End's Duke of York Theatre
Date Posted: 20/03/12
Olivier Award-nominated production Jumpy and its fellow Royal Court play Posh are set to move to the West End's Duke of York Theatre for a season each this summer.
First to move is Posh, which is a production about a drinking society at Britain's Oxbridge universities that bears resemblance to the renowned Bullingdon Club.
Theatre fans booking short breaks to London in the summer can see the play with a new cast directed by Lyndsey Turner from Friday, May 11th to Saturday, August 4th.
After Posh's run finishes Jumpy will take to the stage for a run between Thursday, August 16th and Saturday, November 3rd.
The family drama tells the tale of Greig, a wife and mother, who wants to find her place in the world.
"As the world focuses its attention on London for the Olympics, it’s a great moment for the Royal Court to mark its groundbreaking contribution to British culture, and the leading role British playwrights take in theatre across the world, with a season in the West End," said the artistic director at the Royal Court, Dominic Cooke.
