PJ Harvey to Let England Shake on two-date tour
Date Posted: 03/06/11
PJ Harvey has announced that she will play two gigs in September this year, showing off her latest album Let England Shake.
She will be performing at the Royal Concert Hall, Glasgow, on Sunday September 4th, before thrilling her fans booking Manchester hotels on Thursday September 8th at the city's O2 Apollo.
Polly Jean first made her breakthrough in the 1990s with Dry, and she was praised for her eclectic and innovative style.
She has won the Mercury Music Award in the past, while she has also been nominated for two Grammy Awards.
Earlier this year, Let England Shake was released to a host of positive reviews.
Martin Aston, writing for the BBC, said that PJ had created "another fearsomely creative, emotional record to lead the resistance. God bless unique, unfathomable, great Queen Polly".
Along with these two performances, PJ Harvey will also be playing at Bestival, which takes place in Newport, Isle of Wight, between Thursday September 8th and Sunday September 11th.
