Nottingham to get Jack and the Beanstalk panto
Date Posted: 20/09/13
Fairytale Jack and the Beanstalk is set to take to the stage in panto form at the Nottingham Playhouse this year.
This family-friendly play features Kenneth Alan Taylor playing Dame Daisy, and will begin a run at the theatre on November 29th.
The panto's cast includes Daniel Hoffmann-Gill and John Elkington, with Alan Taylor also directing.
It is set to follow the story of the famous fairy story, which sees young Jack sell off his family's cow in exchange for beans which turn out to be magic.
Christmas or New Year breaks in Nottingham could offer people a great opportunity to see this show, which will stay in the city until January 18th next year.
Meanwhile, another panto version of this famed tale is heading to the stage in Sheffield in time for December 6th, this one starring Ian 'H' Watkins, one fifth of Last Thing on My Mind pop group Steps. It will close on January 5th.
