National Theatre announces first 2012 season of plays

The National Theatre has announced its new season of shows up to April next year, with Travelling Light and She Stoops to Conquer part of the line-up.
Opening on Wednesday January 18th, those booking London theatre breaks will be able to see Travelling Light at the Lyttelton theatre, with the cast made up of Antony Sher and Mark Extance.
She Stoops to Conquer opens on Tuesday January 31st at The Olivier theatre and tells the story of a father who looks to acquaint his daughter with his old friend's son.
Other productions included in the season are Moon On a Rainbow Shawl, which takes to the stage at The Cottesloe theatre on Wednesday March 14th, and Can We Talk About This? running at The Lyttelton from Monday March 12th.
A host of other platforms from The National Theatre will also be taking place, including an evening with Ralph Fiennes and Michael Pennington on Shakespeare.
Currently, the Lyttelton theatre is hosting King James Bible: the 12 extracts, which is directed by Nicholas Hytner, James Dacre and Polly Findlay.
