Natalie Weiss sells out West End show
Date Posted: 28/10/14
Acclaimed Broadway performer Natalie Weiss has sold out the evening performance for her solo concert that is due to take place at the St James Theatre, in the heart of London's West End, on November 2nd.
The singer announced a matinee 4pm performance on the same day in order to accommodate for the unexpected demand for the performance, which will see the singer belt out a range of songs ranging from pop to musical theatre.
It's guaranteed to be an extraordinary show, with Weiss accumulating an extraordinary fanbase in the UK in spite of appearing predominantly in musical theatre productions on Broadway rather than on the West End.
As well as asking her fans for song suggestions to add to the setlist, Weiss also held a backing singer contest over social media, with lucky winners Tom Cromwell and Rebecca Gilliland beating off stiff competition for the roles.
Natalie Weiss made her name in the US performing various ensemble roles in the Les Miserables 25th anniversary tour, before understudying the role of Elphaba in the second national tour of Wicked.
However, she reached an international audience with her Broadway-style Youtube videos entitled Breaking Down the Riffs, which have collectively accumulated more than three million views on the popular video-sharing website.
As a result of this, Weiss released her self-titled debut CD in early 2011 and has since been successfully touring the US, offering masterclasses in musical theatre as well as performing sold-out concerts.
