Matthew Kelly cast as Lend Me a Tenor comes to London
Date Posted: 19/04/11

Fans of London theatre breaks will be able to see Matthew Kelly in action in Lend Me a Tenor: The Musical, which is moving to the capital after a run in Plymouth.
It will open at the Gielgud theatre on Wednesday June 15th, with tickets currently available until Saturday November 19th.
The production tells the story of Tito Merelli, who visits Cleveland in 1934 in order to save the Grand Opera Company.
However, Merelli is struck down and it is left to the opera director's assistant Max to find a replacement through chaotic scenes.
Kelly will take up the role of Henry Saunders, with Damian Hubley starring as Max and Michael Matus as Merelli.
The production is based on the hit comedy by Ken Ludwig, which has previously experienced success on Broadway and in the West End.
Currently, the Gielgud is showing The Umbrellas of Cherbourg, which runs at the London venue until Saturday May 21st.
