Manchester to host FutureEverything festival

Manchester's FutureEverything festival has long entertained the curious, investigating what fantastic technologies might someday be available to us in the future and exploring the wonders of the digital age.

This February, the festival will celebrate its 20th birthday - a landmark occasion indeed - and the festivities will be going strong as the event continues to bring people together to imagine, shape and question the vision of a truly participatory society.

For this momentous occasion, the FutureEverything festival hopes to stage a global platform that combines unique elements from the realms of art, academia, design and business. As ever, it is impossible to describe exactly what will be on offer because the organisers like to keep things under wraps, and such is the nature of this unique annual event that literally anything goes.

As always, visitors may well prove integral to the development of new prototypes of scientific development and are invited to participate to the maximum on the day, but you don't have to be academically minded to enjoy such a groundbreaking extravaganza.

Such is the popularity of FutureEverything that Super Earlybird tickets have already sold out, but standard Early Bird tickets are still available priced at £80. However, interested parties are advised to purchase their tickets as quickly as possible as these sales end on February 1st.

The festival itself runs from February 25th until the 28th and those eligible for student or unemployment concessions are invited to come on the 27th and to bring documentation as they will receive 50 per cent off the price of a standard ticket.

Those who attended the 2014 festival are also eligible for a 20 per cent discount when they book online.
