Lord of the Dance star Michael Flatley has admitted that he is putting more preparation time into his shows as he gets older.
Speaking to the Daily Express, the 52-year-old dancer said that rehearsals for the performance at The O2 Arena on Wednesday November 3rd are now hitting fever-pitch, with those looking for cheap weekend breaks set for an evening of toe-tapping entertainment.
"I don't see age as a problem. Fifty is the new 30. I went to see an old friend recently in Las Vegas [recently]; Tom Jones is 70 and he blew me away," Flatley told the newspaper.
"Now I'm older there are certain things I can't tackle. One thing I am doing is preparing for the show much earlier. There's no way I can it do it all in a couple of months anymore," he added.
As well as The O2 performance, Flatley will be performing in Manchester, Birmingham, Nottingham and Newcastle during the show's European tour.
