Live at Leeds returns for its 6th year this May Day bank holiday
Date Posted: 25/04/12
Live at Leeds will host some of the best rock and indie bands Britain has to offer when it returns for the sixth time in May.
Fans of headliners Ladyhawke, The Subways and Marina and the Diamonds should book Leeds hotels between Friday, May 4th and Monday, May 7th to attend the festival, which takes place over the May Day bank holiday weekend.
Although those are the biggest bands on the bill, there are dozens of other acts that represent the cream of Britain's up-and-coming talent, including Dot Rotten, Bears Killing Bears and Eagulls.
You never know, you may stumble across one of the bands of the future. It was only three years ago when global folk giants Mumford and Sons played to a small crowd at the Brudenell Social Club.
The festival first began in 2007 to mark the 800th birthday of Yorkshire's premier city for music, Leeds. Around 50 bands played and there were also film screenings and a music industry seminar.
Each year the festival has grown and is now an unmissable fixture on the Leeds music calendar.
