Les Dennis to appear in Ayckbourn's Drowning on Dry Land
Date Posted: 17/01/11

Les Dennis will star in Alan Ayckbourn's Drowning on Dry Land, which is set to make its London premiere next month.
The former Family Fortunes host takes on the role of Jason, the agent of lead character Charlie, who is an injured sportsman and is becoming famous just for being a failure.
Having originally opened in Scarborough in 2004, the play will now move to the Jermyn Street Theatre from Tuesday February 22nd for those seeking city breaks in the capital.
Dennis is no stranger to theatre work, having appeared in Chicago, Me and My Girl, High School Musical 2, Hairspray and Marlon Brando's Corset.
The roles follow his 15-year stint on Family Fortunes, while Dennis has also starred in Russ Abbot's Madhouse and The Laughter Show.
Ayckbourn is one of the most celebrated playwrights in the UK, and many of his productions have been revived in London in recent times, including Bedroom Farce and Season's Greetings.
From tomorrow (Tuesday January 18th), the Jermyn Street Theatre will be showing the world premiere of Terrence Rattigan's Less Than Kind.
