Kids Week in the West End extends run after record bookings
Date Posted: 15/07/11
Overwhelming demand for tickets has led to Kids Week in the West End running for an extra week, it has been announced.
Nearly 28,000 tickets were sold when they went on sale for the 14th annual event earlier this week, beating last year's record sales by more than 5,000.
Families looking at booking London theatre breaks can now take part in the event between Friday August 12th and Sunday September 4th.
During the festival those under the age of 16 can gain free entry to participating shows with every full paying adult, while two other youngsters can also get their tickets at half price.
Workshops, activities and other events put on by some of the biggest shows in the capital will also keep families entertained during the event's run.
Among the shows taking part in Kids Week in the West End are The 39 Steps, Betty Blue Eyes, The Lion King, Les Miserables, Mamma Mia and Shrek the Musical.
