Join in the Fête de la Musique in Paris
Date Posted: 06/05/14
One of France’s best and most crazy festivals, the Fête de la Musique, is returning once again this summer on June 21st.
A music festival with difference, the event is open to both amateur and professional musicians and takes place in unusual locations around the city such as a train station, monastery or museum, as well as the street.
None of the performers are paid for their contribution and all the performances are free for the public to enjoy. There’s something to suit everyone’s taste and you’ll find performances of anything from electro to classical, rock to jazz and drum and bass to latin.
The festival began in 1982 and is organised by the French ministry of culture. Today, it happens in all French cities and has also spread to cities all across Europe and the world.
Revel in the musical madness while on a French city break and book yourself into a Paris hotel.
