Join the fun at St Paul’s Carnival in Bristol
Date Posted: 10/06/14
On Saturday July 5th, the streets of Bristol will come alive with the sights and sounds of the carnival, as the annual St Paul’s parade weaves its way among the crowds.
The festival is a celebration of the multicultural communities in the city and, having started as a small affair back in the 1960s, it has now developed into one of the premier events in Bristol over the summer.
If you want to plan a short break in Bristol this is a wonderful time to travel, as some 80,000 people join in with the festivities every year.
The vibrant parade, which features hundreds of colourful floats, dancers and musicians, is the highlight of the day, but all around the carnival route you’ll find food stalls selling delicacies from all over the world.
There will also be stages on Portland Square and on the green outside the St Pauls Learning Centre where live performances will take place throughout the day and well into the evening.
